HECKER

A.C. Rexforth made a flying trip to Waterloo Monday.

The last Sunday’s storm did considered damage to crops.

John Gambach and wife spent last week with Baldwin relatives.

The painters are at work on Henry Diefenbach’s new brick house.

Julius Wagner was called to St. Louis to attend the obacquics of his niece 
Hester Wagner.

Messrs. Peter and Richard Haupt accompanied by their sister were visiting 
with William Heyl Sunday.

Although the storm and rain made things unpleasant for a while, both picnic 
and ball were well attended Sunday.

F. Durfee of Waterloo and John Schneider, Mr. Niemann, and Dr. Lee of 
Harrisonville attended the M. P. L. picnic.

Mrs. H. Hoereth left for Belleville Saturday to visit her sister Mrs. William 
Wangelin who had been ill but is now recovering.

Mr. and Mrs. Z. Monike spent Sunday with their parents here.  Mr. Monike 
is employed eight years in Becker’s Mill in Red Bud.

George Bucher who severed his connections with the Hecker Creamery recently 
left for East St. Louis Monday where he will be employed in the future.
