This Little Crowe Now Has a Mate

Mr. Joseph Crowe was married to Miss Annie Cowell in St. Augustine’s Catholic 
Church in Hecker, Tuesday morning, Rev. Kaup officiating.

Miss Lizzie Crowe, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaid, while Mr. Andrew 
Cowell, brother of the bride, served as the groom’s best man.

After the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the home of the bride’s parents 
while an excellent wedding dinner was served in honor of the occasion.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alpheus Cowell, who reside on a farm 
near Hecker, and is a young lady of many admirable traits which make her very 
dear to her large circle of friends.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Crowe, who live on a farm several 
miles east of this city.  He is a model young man and will make an excellent husband 
for the little girl he has chosen as his partner through life.

George Schilling brought the newlyweds to Waterloo in his auto the same afternoon, 
and from here they took the 3 o’clock car to St. Louis where they have already fitted 
up a home and went to housekeeping as the groom is employed in that city.

The Times joins the many friends of the young couple in wishing them health, wealth 
and prosperity, and should there be any little Crowes we hope they will crow lustily 
for Joe so Joe knows the little Crowes can crow like all the Crowes crow.
