Nobbe, Leola A. nee Althoff   Obit

Leola A. Nobbe nee Althoff, 88, of Waterloo, died Nov. 14, 2007, in Waterloo. She 
was born Nov. 13, 1919, in Harrisonville, the daughter of the late George and Charlotte 
Althoff nee Schmitt. She was married to the late Roland G. Nobbe. Mrs. Nobbe is 
survived by her children Kathy (James) Davis of Tucker, Ga., and Dr. James (Bonnie) 
Nobbe of Waterloo; grandchildren Alicia (Jeff) Piascik, Joel Davis, Dr. Todd (Jamie) 
Nobbe, and Robin (Christopher) Schomber; great-grandchildren Wyatt Piascik, Sawyer 
Piascik, Alex Nobbe, Aaron Nobbe, Patrick Nobbe, Mia Schomber and chase Schomber; 
sisters-in-law Eleanor Althoff and Darlyn Kohnz; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. 
Nobbe was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo, where she was in 
the Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Waterloo American Legion Ladies 
Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Association. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. 
A funeral service was at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo, Pastor Mary Beth 
Hartenstein officiating. She was buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo.
