Kohlmeier, Raymond M.
Raymond M. Kohlmeier, 83, of Waterloo, died November 15, 2005, in Waterloo. 
He was born September 23, 1922, in Waterloo, the son of the late Theodore and 
Sophia Kohlmeier nee Hohnbaum. He was married to Lillian Kohlmeier nee Thorburg. 
He is survived by his wife; children Leon (Kathleen) Kohlmeier of Waterloo, Karen 
Kohlmeier of Waterloo, and Sandra Kohlmeier of St. Louis; grandchildren Candice 
Kohlmeier, Cara Lee Kohlmeier, Clint Kohlmeier, Carin Kohlmeier and Ebony Sherod; 
sister Audrey Hoffmann of Waterloo; brothers Sylvester (Clara) Kohlmeier of Waterloo, 
Fremond Kohlmeier of Waterloo, and Wilbert Kohlmeier of Waterloo; brother-in-law 
Lewis Lich of Waterloo; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lorena P. Lich. Mr. Kohlmeier was 
a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Wartburg. He was a member of Waterloo 
VFW Post #6504 and Waterloo American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran of 
World War II. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral services were at Holy 
Cross Lutheran Church in Wartburg, Pastor Stuart Rethwisch officiating. He is buried at 
Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Wartburg. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross 
Cemetery Fund of Holy Cross Nativity Fund.
