Hopewell, Dorma L. nee Wakefield
Dorma L. Hopewell nee Wakefield, 69, of Columbia, died March 21, 2005, in Chesterfield, Mo. 
She was born January 15, 1936, in East St. Louis, the daughter of the late Chester and Golda 
Wakefield nee Allen. She married Tommy Hopewell in 1953. She is survived by her husband; 
daughters Robin Weisenborn of Columbia, Cyndi Hopewell of Columbia, Lisa (Dan) Fallon of 
Waterloo; grandchildren Aaron, Ryan, Nicole, Courtney and Kylie; great-grandchildren Alexis, 
Reese, Jackson and Brooklyn; sisters Norma (Toby) Thompson of Columbia and Janet (Dick) 
Laxton of Columbia; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. 
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, where she was active with many church 
functions including the Esther Sunday School Class. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. 
Funeral services were at First Baptist Church, Fr. Jonathan Peters officiating. She is buried at 
Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the Scleroderma 
Foundation, Susan Koman Breast Cancer Foundation or First Baptist Church Building Fund.
