Vogel, Frederick W.

Frederick W. “Fritz” Vogel, 69, of Waterloo, died May 4, 2007. He was 
born Oct. 11, 1937, in Columbia, the son of the late Dr. Erdman G. Vogel 
and Margaret Vogel nee Illert. He married Patricia A. Vogel nee Bequette 
in 1966. Mr. Vogel is survived by his wife; sons Mark (Amber) Vogel of 
Waterloo, and Jason Vogel of St. Elmo; grandchildren Taylor Vogel and 
Corey Vogel; sisters Viola Frank of Waterloo, and Helen (Kenneth) Reichert 
of Columbia; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Vogel was 
a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Paderborn. He was the manager 
of the Waterloo McDonald’s. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. A funeral 
Mass was at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Paderborn, Fr. Jim Voelker 
officiating. He is burier at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials 
may be made to Waterloo High School athletics or in the form of Masses at 
St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
