FUNERAL HELD MONDAY FOR ANNA HARBAUGH Funeral services were held Monday morning in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo for Mrs. Anna Harbaugh, 88, who died Feb. 27, 1953, at her home at 309 West Fourth Street, in Waterloo. She was the wife of the late William G. Harbaugh, who died here in 1941. Monsignor R. L. Harbaugh, a nephew, was celebrant at the Solemn Requiem Mass. The Rev. Charles Hellrung and the Rev. Vincent Meskenas were deacon and subdeacon. In the sanctuary were Rt. Rev. Monsignor Joseph Vogelweid of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Rev. Father Raymond Willerding, chaplain of St. Mary’s Infirmary of St. Louis. Mrs. Harbaugh was born Dec. 14, 1864, near Hecker, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schumacher. She was married Oct. 3, 1894 to William G. Harbaugh by the Rev. J.D. Schlotmann. She and her husband were the first couple to be married in St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Hecker after it was built. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the League of the Sacred Heart. Among her survivors are six daughters, Sr. Mary Ann Williams of St. Louis, Mrs. Alice Wildman of Casper Wyoming, Mrs. Marie Miller of Sherwood Forest Belleville, Miss Eleanor A. Harbaugh of Shawnee Oklahoma, and Mrs. Rose Bertram and Miss Irene Harbaugh of Waterloo; a son, Joseph G. Harbaugh of Waterloo; one daughter, May Cecelia died in infancy; two grandchildren, Robert Wildman III of Casper Wyoming, Marilyn Ann Miller of Sherwood Forest; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Acheson of Seattle Washington.
