Obituary, Waterloo Republic, August 20, 1941

Herman C. Janson, 64, husband of Caroline Janson, died in St. Louis Friday, 
August 15, 1947, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, following an operation.

His funeral took place Monday morning at 8:30, with services at St. Stephen’s 
Church and burial in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery St. Louis.

Besides his wife, he is survived by seven children: Sister Loyola Marie, Sister 
Mary Hermana of the Order of St. Joseph, Antoinette, Brother Robert, S.M., 
Edward F., Herbert C., and Ralph P., and one brother, Christ, of near Waterloo.  
Three children preceded him in death.

Mrs. Janson is sister to Chas. and Al Jung of this city.  Among those from here 
who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jung and son Cletus, and Mr. 
and Mrs. Peter Rick.
